Swedish Massage

60 minutes: $85
90 minutes: $125

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Please arrive ten minutes early to your appointment if you are a new client, as I would like to have a discussion before our session to discuss your particular needs, expectations and goals. The hands-on time of the massage is one hour or more as requested.

Pregnancy Massage

70 minutes: $85

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

Currently I use side-lying and semi-reclined positioning for all three trimesters. Lying prone (face down) and supine (flat on your back) is not advised during pregnancy without additional equipment. Be assured, though, that I have much practice in making your experience of pregnancy massage comfortable and enjoyable!

Please arrive ten minutes early to your appointment if you are a new client, as I would like to have a discussion before our session to discuss your particular needs, expectations and goals. The hands-on time of the massage is seventy minutes. The extra time is included for bathroom breaks!

I am happy to offer postpartum massage as well. During the first six weeks postpartum I will need approval from the new mom's OB, and I may wish to speak to the doctor to discuss any contraindications. Massage during the first six weeks after delivery is generally safe (provided by a trained professional) and can help the new mom emotionally and physically as her body adapts to motherhood. After the first six weeks I highly recommend massage to help those aching mom muscles!

Geriatric massage is a form of massage designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly. It helps to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and also increase range of motion. If you are elderly, geriatric massage can help you maintain and improve your overall health, as well as regain certain physical functions that have been reduced due to aging. Massage can also improve your emotional well-being.

For elderly persons with limited mobility, I can also offer a seated massage. If you or a loved one is bed-bound or home-bound I would be happy to travel to assist them. If a potential elderly client is of limited means I will negotiate a lower price.

Chair Massage

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension which provides quick relief.  You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Sports Massage

60 minutes: $85
90 minutes: $125

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $100
90 minutes: $150

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
